The first time I entered the classical atelier at Gage I felt something more than just the usual pecking order in a school program. It was instead the exclusionary mindset of church members. The smug contentment of those whom the leader will be seen associating with and the fear they had of the newbies who might displace them. There was a lot of subtle verbal and emotional abuse there.
I wanted to add to the curriculum.
I wanted to help the students. (The students want to learn. The teachers want to take their money for as long as possible).
The overall program and movement and scene are absurdly retrophilic.
