People will tell you, who were there, that when I opened my classroom (in 2014) I gave a speech about teaching objective seeing as a path toward eliminating fanaticism. That was pretty much all I talked about. The entire curriculum was a reaction against obsolete 19th century ways of drawing, painting, seeing (and thinking). I guess I should have included some stuff about eugenics and reading bumps on people’s heads too.
I cannot emphasize enough, and for obvious reasons, how little I want to be associated with anything they do.
